Registration as a PTE

Back

The main purpose of a PTE is to provide high value outcomes for graduates and their destinations, and other stakeholders.

Registration requires a body corporate in New Zealand, with the governance group including at least some experience and leadership in tertiary education, and/or the subject matter, and/or successful business management. NZQA currently require a discussion with any intending new PTEs to be sure that the applicants understand the likely impact of the current reform of vocational education (RoVE).

Maintaining registration requires self-assessment of all major parts of the organisation to ensure quality management and value of outcomes to stakeholders, as outlined in the various documents. Maintaining registration also requires an External Evaluation and Review statement of at least not yet confident.
